Sulfates
Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) is a surfactant
(foaming and cleansing agent) used in

electrophoresis. "Laureth" indicates
ethoxylation ("lauryl" on one
side of the sulfate group, an ethyl ether
on another).

and the Cosmetic, Toiletry & Fragrance
Association. Read
